Spay / Neuter
Peace Love & Dog Paws Rescue encourages all pet owners to be responsible pet owners and have their pets spayed or neutered. Our rescue dogs are ALWAYS spayed or neutered prior to adoption & we require all adopters to have their current pets spayed/neutered prior to being able to adopt, NO EXCEPTIONS! Spaying or neutering is one of the best gifts you can give your furry family member. Not only does it help control over-population, but can prevent behavior and medical problems from developing during their lifetime. It reduces the tendency for pets to run off with other animals, reducing injury and fatality. Spayed and neutered pets stay closer to home, and are therefore less likely to get lost. It reduces the risk of certain cancers and other diseases. Male dogs are highly susceptible to prostate cancer if left intact! MILLIONS of dogs each year are senselessly euthanized in shelters, or lose their lives on the streets. By spaying and neutering, you take an active role in taken a stand to prevent unwanted litters and aid in the campaign for NO MORE HOMELESS PETS!
